Haunting Silence

Time to name the monster
Who stirs at night.
Who lives within
To hide our sin.

Time to make room,
In memory’s caverns
Rather than banish
What simply won’t vanish.

You had a choice once
That gave birth to phantoms
Making you live your choice
Silencing not its voice.

The monster lives and grows
Curled and caved in your heart
When the Light goes out
It walks about.

Its countenance a disfigurement,
Frightful yet your own.
Its dwelling through the years
Fraught with reticence and tears.

Has it no right
No place of rest?
When the day is done,
No place in the sun.

Most monsters are but part
Of our fallen selves
Standing in the way
Of each new day.

The way out
Is also within.
Give the chimera a name.
Acknowledge its claim.

Give the silence life
For the living,
For what you kill,
Haunts you still.

Time to embrace
And wrap the past in Mercy.
Give it a womb,
Instead of a tomb.

H/T RR:

This  was  done at Dallas/FW International Airport. As you watch the video, please  notice the number of people watching from inside the terminal.

Most folks  have no idea Delta has done this for years as the fight goes on.  THANK YOU DELTA!

And indeed may God Bless all those ( and their families)  who have given it all for us — the USA!    No greater love —

Here I Am

Here I am, beneath your heart,
My heart beating in happy harmony,
As my frame perceives
The gentle throbbing within your breast,
Serene.

I began in secret and in darkness,
A mystery, even to myself.
Day by day, nature shapes my clay,
As you await the blessed dawn of my birth day.

What I know, I know by existence.
I am now all trust,
Simply growing,
Simply becoming who I am.

Comfort, you give comfort.
Love, you are all I know of love.
As you wait for me, my mother,
The eyes of my soul are wide open.
I behold you, smiling upon me.

Expectant, vigilant and gleeful,
Mother of my moments,
You cradle me.
You are my home of sweet delight.

Unconscionable Use of American Military

Posted by Be Holy on October 17, 2014
Posted in: Uncategorized. Tagged: American military, Americanmreservists, Christian, Ebola, executive order, hazmat, health, infection, national guard, Obama, Pentagon, volunteer. Leave a comment

It is the height of irresponsibility to send American Reservist or National Guard troops to fight Ebola. They are trained to fight an enemy they can see, not one that lurks in emesis and feces, requiring skills outside their expertise to combat. Even if they are going to build infrastructure, are they going to do it in hazmat protective gear, or will the Pentagon merely send them into harms way, far away from the families they will leave behind, with a slap on the back and a prayer?

If it is a nightmare clearing people, we now fear to allow into our country from these infected areas, where the disease is now endemic, how will we prevent the men and women we order there from bringing back more then anyone planned in this grand un-thought-out sacrificial executive act? Will we be quarantining our soldiers before they return to family and countrymen?

This is a cause best fought by volunteers and a cause better suited to trained doctors, nurses, and I stress again, the word “volunteers”. JFK created the Peace Corpse, President Obama can make yet another speech to lead into this battle those who are still willing to follow and trust him.

You showed the way
To live each day,
One cup of water at a time.

You satisfy Man’s thirst,
By thirsting first.
We come,
One cup of water at a time.

I live anew to give
As I have received,
One cup of water at a time.

Living water ,
Abundant stream,
Channel Your Life through me,
One cup of water at a time.

The Savage Lands of Islam–Daniel Greenfield

H/T  RR – a friend alerted me to this article as “baseline education” writing:
“Wondering what authentic Islam is ?  -Here’s a view of it from its heartland..  Excellent piece.  Recommended as  baseline “education” on the subject.  “
he Savage Lands of Islam

by DANIEL GREENFIELD October 15, 2014

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia ruled that ten year old girls can be married off, because in his words, “Good upbringing makes a girl ready to perform all marital duties at that age.” The Mufti, who also called for destroying churches in the Arabian Peninsula, is descended from Mohammed Wahhab who gave birth to Wahhabism and whose descendants have controlled the Saudi religious establishment, and through its  Islam around the world.

However for all his power and influence, the Mufti is blind and hasn’t seen a thing in the last half century years; an apt metaphor for his entire religion.
Saudi Arabia, the heartland of Islam, still tries and executes witches. What sort of religion can come out of a place that marries off ten year old girls and murders old women on charges of witchcraft? The sort that flies planes into skyscrapers, murders teenage girls for using Facebook and bases its entire society on a ladder with Muslim men at the top, Muslim women a few rungs below and everyone else somewhere at the bottom.

The Saudis are not an aberration, they are Islam in its purest and truest form. That is why Al Qaeda was founded by a Saudi and why Saudis, the wealthy citizens of a wealthy kingdom, are its best recruits. It is not poverty or oppression that moves them to kill, but wealth and privilege.
This is where Islam originated, whose brutality and cunning spread it across the world, whose clans killed each other, then killed or enslaved minority groups, and then embarked on a wave of conquest that destroyed countless cultures and left behind the seeds of hate of the wars we are fighting today.
